Zahid appoints loyalists to Supreme Council

FOUR Umno division chiefs and a division vice chairman have been co-opted to the Umno supreme council with immediate effect, council member and Ketereh MP Annuar Musa.

The party secretary-general said the party chief Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had agreed to the appointment and they would replace members who had left the party.

The appointed chiefs are Mohd Puad Zarkashi (Batu Pahat), Johan Abd Aziz (Hulu Langat), Shaik Hussein Mydin (Bagan) and Yaakub Khan (Sepanggar), along with Seputeh deputy chief Mohd Razlan Muhammad Rafii.

The new appointments replace Kimanis MP Anifah Aman, Beaufort MP Azizah Mohd Dun, Sulaman assemblyman Hajiji Noor, former Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia, and former Multimedia and Communication Minister Salleh Said Keruak. – July 2, 2019.
